Greenland is a semi-autonomous territory of Denmark’s kingdom. This large Arctic island is bordered to the east by Iceland and to the west by Canada. It has a population of only 50,000 people due to the harsh climate conditions. The majority of the civilian population lives on the island’s southern coasts. There are numerous mountains on the island. Because everything else is covered in ice, all of the cities are on the coast.
