  1. Only males are called peacocks, and females are called peahens. The babies are called peachicks.
  2. A family of these birds is called a bevy or peafowl. While groups of the bird are called a “muster, an “ostentation, or even a “party.”
  3. Peacock is the national Bird of India. The bird represents the vivid cultures and colors of the country.
  4. Peafowls are omnivores birds; they usually feed on small insects, seeds, plants, flower seeds, small mammals, and even small reptiles like snakes.
